Vocational Education

At Harvest, we recognise that not everyone learns the same way, nor do they have the same goals in life. As a result, we have valued VET (Vocational Education and Training) pathway options where students can follow and develop their interests and passions. Through this varied program, students can develop knowledge, skills and understanding of the nature, type and structure of the workplace of their choice in an industry and workplace context.

Vocational Education

We provide our students with opportunities to undertake Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses as part of their secondary studies, which can help them begin working towards their career pathways while they are still at school. These courses are typically delivered off-campus or online, and completion by the student provides credits towards both recognised VET qualifications and their SACE.

A VET course may be a good choice if:

  • You have a clear idea about your career pathway, and the course will give you skills and a qualification towards your goal. AND
  • You have a natural talent and interest in that particular practice area and have shown this by doing a work experience placement. AND
  • You are good at managing your time, staying organised and learning independently. Every student has different talents, aspirations and goals for the future. At Harvest, we are committed to working with individual students and their families to assist them in developing their talents and achieving their goals.
